Archaeological Site Uthina
Uthina or Eudna was an ancient Berber Roman city that became a Roman colony for the "Legio XIII Gemina" war veterans during the reign of Emperor Augustus. These archaeological ruins occupies a perimeter of about three miles long and covers a mountain plateau. There are also remains of a fort, cisterns, a bridge, a triumphal arch, a theater, an amphitheater, a cathedral with a circular crypt and a bridge, and there are many mosaics as well. The Amphitheater of Euthena is located in the north of the area and is half dug into the hill and only the upper part of the building with the arches is above ground.
