The Kayseri Archaeological Museum sheds light on the early times of the city of Kayseri, which was home to many civilizations since the Hittites. Thousands of works, especially written tablets from the Assyrian settlement of Kanesh-Karum and many others from the Roman and Byzantine periods, reveal the richness of Kayseri's history and culture. Archaeological and historical sites in the two halls of the museum and its outdoor gardens, where there are excavated rocks dating back to the period between 5500-3000 BC.
