Description of the place
Ayazma Mosque offers one of the most amazing views on the skyline of Izmit. It is a historic mosque built in 1760 AD in the heart of the city. The Baroque-style mosque and simple minaret takes its name from Ayazma Palace, which stood on the same site thousands of years ago. Today, the mosque is one of the most important religious tourist sites in the city.
