Ballhaus
Set in a grove of chestnut trees in Kassel, the Ballhaus Museum is a rather unremarkable building that will reveal itself as a neoclassical gem as soon as you walk through the door. The monument was built as a court theater during the reign of Jérôme Bonaparte from 1808 AD to 1810 AD, then later it was converted into a dance hall and a theater. With its simple elegance, the main façade stands in stark contrast to the impressive appearance of the interior. Above all, it is the colorful ballroom that makes the building so recognizable today. The wall panels are decorated with distinctive motifs based on ancient Roman models. The most important events, very special concerts, and distinguished opera performances are held in this masterpiece, whose attendance is limited to some people.
