The Bazaar Mosque or the Old Mosque was built in the seventeenth century AD as part of the Mimi Pasha plan for the bazaar. It is one of the buildings of religious importance in the city. It has a simple architectural design and a minaret containing 99 steps representing 99 names of God. Visitors are allowed free entry to the mosque for 15 minutes five times a day, after each prayer.
