Botanical Garden of the University of Cagliari
It is a botanical garden run by the University of Cagliari, inaugurated in 1866 under the direction of Professor Patrizio Gennari. It contains about 2,000 species, most of which are native to the Mediterranean region, representing species from Australia, California and Chile. The garden also includes a plastic greenhouse in which about 1,000 species of plants that originate in different parts of the world, between African and American origin, grow, in addition to a group of tropical plants. The garden contains about 600 trees and 550 shrubs, in addition to a large area of about 4,000 square meters covered with a group of palm trees.
