Description of the place
The Brahma Vihara Arama Monastery is located in the hills of Banjar, 1.5 km west of the Banjar hot springs in northern Bali. It is the largest Buddhist monastery on the island. It is famous for its beautiful and quiet gardens, meditation rooms and libraries. It also contains a wonderful miniature copy of the Borobudur temple, which is the largest archaeological site Buddhist in the world, and enjoys majestic views towards the North Bali Sea and the rice field area.
