Carmo Church
The Carmo Church is a Portuguese church from the seventeenth century in the city of Braga, and it forms part of the Carmelite monastery that was founded in 1653. It was originally founded on February 1, 1635 by Father Joseph of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, and today it has a Latin cross plan. It has one wide nave, its main facade dates from 1911, and its interior is decorated with removable Baroque gold wood paneling and a range of neoclassical moldings and tiles.
