Castle of Mytilene
Mytilene Castle was built in the early Middle Ages on a high plateau overlooking the port in order to protect the island of Lesbos from pirate attacks, and it still stands today as a witness that tells the history of Greece in different periods. Today, visitors can visit the largest part of the castle and take memorial photos of them under its stone arches and at its huge columns, and they can also participate in the events and celebrations that take place in it.
