The Cathedral of Christ the King is a Roman Catholic cathedral in La Spezia. It was built between 1956 - 1975 AD on a small hill called the Capuchin Hill in an area located between the old city and its modern annexes. The cathedral is characterized by a unique modern design as it has a circular structure, and the roof consists of a dome with a diameter of 50 meters high and supported by 12 huge columns, its walls consist of white and gray marble paved with red stones. The church is famous for the presence of a wooden cross from the eighteenth century located in the middle of the main square, along with numerous statues and sculptures by sculptor Lia Godano distributed throughout the square.
