Church of Our Lady of Oliveira
The beginnings of the Church of Our Lady of Oliveira go back to the convent dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the Holy Apostles, which was founded on this site by Countess Mumadona Dias in the year 949. Today the church is characterized by imposing arches and an entrance hall of excellent construction technique. The building also includes stunning elements of the Manueline style. It is testament to the finest Romanesque-Mudéjar ensemble in Portugal.
