Church of St Michael and All Angels, Christchurch
Not far from the city's main cathedral is a small but important church. St. Michael's Church was the first parish in Christchurch and was built of wood in 1872 AD, and at that time it was considered one of the largest wooden churches in the world. The building is in Victorian Gothic style with some medieval elements. Starting in September 2010 AD, this church survived three major earthquakes. Visit it with your family and friends and enjoy the beauty of this earthquake-resistant church, which contains some amazing sculptures and stained glass panels.
