City History Museum

The government building, which was built between 1904-1906, was used as a government house until January 19, 1976, but it became unusable as a result of a fire that broke out inside it. After this fire, the Ministry of Culture began to carry out restoration work in 2000, and it was completed in 2000. 2006, and opened as a museum of the history of the city in the same year, to become a cultural unit, aiming to contain all kinds of information, documents, pieces, visual materials, audio records, and photographs related to Safranbolu. Temporary and permanent exhibitions are also organized, in order to promote and display the cultural, historical and social wealth of the city.
