Constitution Hill
Constitution Hill is a national heritage site in Johannesburg and is home to the Constitutional Court of South Africa, which is the highest court in the country and is responsible for constitutional matters. After being a place of injustice and brutality, prominent South African political activists, including Nelson Mandela and the Mahatma, were arrested. Gandhi, the site was transformed into a place of solidarity and democracy, and became the home of the Gol Women's Museum, the Fourth Four Museum, and the Old Fort Museum. Constitution Hill provides ideal platforms for educating and learning the South African story, and Conhill, as it is known for its acronym, offers a variety of multi-purpose venues, suitable for conferences, performances, and a wide range of public events, activities and programmes.
