Is the most famous street in the huge town of Soweto in the city of Johannesburg, where both Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu lived in it, and they are both Nobel Prize winners, and Nelson Mandela's house was converted into a museum, and there is a museum and a memorial to Hector Peterson that was established Founded in the early 1990s to commemorate the 1976 Soweto Uprising, the street was named after Dr. Benedict Walet Vilakazi, a poet and writer, was the first black man to teach at Wits, at the University of the Witwatersrand.
