Dar Al-Asram is a palace belonging to the family of the same name, which helped bring scribes and calligraphers to Tunisia. It has origins dating back to the early nineteenth century AD. It is also distinguished by its magnificent interior design, botanical and geometric decorations with Italian, Spanish, Turkish and Andalusian influences, its rooms, spacious yards and marble columns. Today it is A museum and the headquarters of the City Protection Association and Agency, today it displays a small collection of materials documenting the association's work in preserving the city's textile history.
