Debrecen Zoo and Amusement Park

The Debrecen Zoo and Amusement Park is located in the Great Forest of Debrecen, the oldest protected area in Hungary. It was opened in 1958 as the country's first zoo outside the capital. It now covers an area of 17 hectares and has triple aims, as it includes a zoo, a botanical garden and an amusement park. . The zoo includes about 900 animals from 170 species from five continents, while the botanical garden includes about 650 species, including species from the Great Debrecen Forest and other parts of Hungary in addition to species native to various parts of the world. The amusement park is the largest of its kind in the region. And the only one in Hungary, and it includes 21 entertainment games suitable for all ages.
