Degania Dam

The Degania Dam, located on the southern side of Lake Kinneret, specifically at the exit of the Jordan River, is a dam that aims to regulate water levels in Lake Kinneret. It is an old dam that was built in 1932 by the architect Pinhas Güntberg and was built initially with the aim of diverting the water flowing from the lake into a generating station. electricity on the Yarmouk River to feed Naharayim, but the goal of the project changed over the years and became aimed at diverting water into the country rather than diverting it to the Jordan River.
