Edakkal Caves

Amazing caves in the north of the Indian city of Wayanad, which are natural caves located at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level. It is believed that these caves were the homes of several human tribes from the Neolithic era, as they contain a group of historical inscriptions on their walls. The caves were discovered by Fred Fawcett who was the superintendent of police in Malabar district in the year 1896 who immediately recognized their historical significance and published several articles about them.
