El Rey Archaeological Zone

The El Ray archaeological area is one of the most famous historical tourist attractions in the city of Cancun, and it is famous for its amazing monuments dating back to the Mayan civilization, which include forty-seven multifunctional buildings, in which archaeologists have found the remains of wall paintings and drawings dating back to the post-classical period, Its name, "El Rey," which means king, is due to a statue resembling the king that was discovered inside.
