Fort Hammamet

Hammamet Fort is located along the Tunisian coast in the town of Hammamet, and the aim of its construction is to protect the coasts. This tower was built in the year 893, then it was expanded around the year 1467 to accommodate the governor of the city. At the end of the sixteenth century, important changes were made to it in order to prepare it for firearms. Tourists and residents visit it nowadays to learn about its history, and to enjoy the panoramic views it provides of the sea and the surrounding areas.
