The Fort of São Sebastião da Caparica, also known as the Tower of São Sebastião or the Castle of the Old Tower, is a medieval fortification, located on Monte da Caparica, and is one of the most important examples of military architecture in the Renaissance, at the time when it was part of the An integrated system of artillery bases at the end of the fifteenth and beginning of the sixteenth centuries.
