Description of the place
The Temple of Our Lady of Peneda is dominated by a huge rock 300 meters high, which gives the site a sacred feel and creates a unique religious atmosphere. With a statue at the top representing Our Lady of the Incarnation, every year in the first week of September, hundreds of pilgrims from all over Portugal flock to this temple to perform their pilgrimage.
