Fountain of King Matthias
The Matthias Fountain is located in the western forecourt of Buda Castle in Budapest and was created by Alajos Stróbl. The group depicts a hunting party led by Matthias Corvinus, King of Hungary. The bronze statues stand on piles of rock against the background of the northern facade of the former castle church, and water flows between the cracks of the rock; It is worth noting that the entire arrangement of statues resembles the famous Trevi Fountain in Rome although on a much smaller scale.
