Four Foot Mausoleums

The four-footed tomb with a pyramidal roof is located in the northeast of the ancient city of Mersin. The square-plan monument consists of a lower room in the shape of a quadrangular tower, a middle floor with arches on all four sides, and a pyramidal-shaped roof, with a height of 13 meters. The building, which is believed to belong to one of the city's notables, was built at the beginning of the third century BC, to become one of the city's distinctive landmarks, which still exists to this day.
