Description of the place
The Frixo Bridge was built in the eastern part of the city of Porto to serve as an alternative to the Arrábida and Luis I bridges. It was inaugurated in September 1995 by António Reis and Daniel de Sousa. It is actually a double bridge with two floors separating them. It is only 10 cm, has a total length of 705 meters, has 8 spans in total, and is built of reinforced concrete with the use of new technologies.
