Gravensteen

An old historical building that was built 800 years ago. When you see the old pictures and designs, you will see that this building has not changed at all. At first it was used as a prison for dangerous criminals, as they were tortured and put in solitary confinement rooms until they were executed. However, this building has been restored and transformed to become part of the prestigious Leiden University. Nevertheless, today you can feel the darkness that was taking place around it, especially when you visit one of the meeting rooms, which was previously a prison room that does not even contain a window, so that light can enter.
