The Hallstatt glacier is the largest of its kind in the Dachstein Mountains near Hallstatt, lies just below the northern foot of Dachstein in the Echern Valley, runs into Lake Ise at an altitude of 2,205 metres, is a relic of the last ice age, and is not only a stunning natural wonder, but It provides a wonderful exploration and adventure trip for the whole family.
