Havas Boldogasszony Church

An invaluable architectural heritage of Szeged is the Franciscan church dedicated to Our Lady of the Snows and the nearby monastery. It was built in the neo-Gothic style, using the remains of the first building from the 12th century. Its baroque interiors date back to the beginning of the 18th century and include two statues. of the Virgin Mary, one of which is carved by a monk called Antal Graff and adorns the main altar, and the other is called "Black Mary" and has an original copy in Czestochowa, Poland.
