Heizkraftwerk Salzburg Mitte

It is a thermal power plant that was renovated in the late 1980s - with the addition of modern concrete - 2002. The concrete layer is 120 meters long and the chimney extends 70 meters into the sky. The architects behind this controversial and iconic building are Marie-Claude Bétrix and Eraldo Consolascio. Some locals claim that it is a common sight in Salzburg. Visit it and decide for yourself.
