Description of the place
Hoenginjemun Gate, also known as Dongdaemun Gate (Great Eastern Gate), is a major historical site in Seoul. During the Joseon Dynasty, it was one of the eight city gates along the historic Seoul City Wall and served as the main gate to the eastern part of the city. Huenginjimun Gate is famous for its impressive architecture, and it gives the city an amazing sight at night as well.
