The old Hofburg Palace in Innsbruck, a former imperial building built in the 15th and 16th centuries in Baroque and Rococo styles, was renovated in the 18th century on the instructions of Empress Maria Theresa. This palace is considered one of the most prominent historical landmarks in the city and includes luxurious apartments with its beautiful painted ceilings. Don't forget to see the Hall of the Giant, a large hall of polished marble decorated in white and gold, with three large ceiling frescoes from 1775.
