Izmir Museum of Commercial History

This is the first commercial history museum in Turkey established by the Izmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO). Entrance to the museum is free. At the entrance you can notice a model of a merchant ship from the first century AD. There are also models of ceramics, pottery objects, statues, metal weights, and lamps. Oil, glassware, seals, and gold, silver and bronze coins are displayed in prehistoric chronological order, and on the walls you can enjoy descriptions, maps, and photographs of ancient land and sea trade routes.
