garden built at the time of the "Portuguese Universal Exposition" year (1940), an event commemorating the 800th anniversary of Portugal's independence. The park is made up of about 30 small gardens representing the capitals in Portugal and the former provinces abroad. There are also two lakes in this park, and there is a group of luxurious sculptures of mythical figures. In the vicinity of the park there is a monastery, a cultural center, an entertainment center, a planetarium, a marine museum, and many more, which makes it a great destination to explore Portugal.
