Jvari Monastery of Mtskheta

Jvari Monastery is a Georgian Orthodox monastery from the sixth century, and it is one of the most important monuments in Georgia, as it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is a very unique monastery as it is one of the examples of architecture from the sixth century, and it is still in very excellent condition, which made the study of the site easy. The monastery was built on top of Mount Jvari, at an altitude of 656 meters above sea level. It was built in such a way that it blends in with the surrounding nature in an amazing scene.
