Karapuzha Dam
One of the largest earthen dams in India, Karapuza Dam is located within the vast green areas of Wayanad on the famous Karapuza River. The construction of the dam began in 1977 and was completed in 2004, and was established for the purpose of irrigating the neighboring tea plantations. Near it, visitors can go on long and short hiking trails, camp with families and friends, and rent one of the huts adjacent to the dam and enjoy the picturesque natural features.
