Karinthandan Temple
Karinthandan Temple
This temple is related to the story of an Indian man who helped a British colonist find an easier way to reach the town of Wayanad, and after the colonizer learned the way from the Indian, he killed him in order to give him all the credit for finding the way. Locals say that the ghost of this innocent Indian still haunts the place to this day. Tens of thousands of visitors come to this small temple surrounded by a huge tree every year to learn about the legend.
