Kinder House
Kinder House is one of Auckland's oldest and most important buildings. This two-storey residence was built as the home of Rev. John Kinder, who is recognized today as one of the most important colonial figures in the city. Kinder emigrated to Auckland in 1855 to take up the position of A professor at a grammar school, and then became one of the most talented artists in the nineteenth century in New Zealand, therefore, the house was built for Kinder and his family in 1857 under the supervision of the Anglican Church in appreciation of his efforts, so do not miss the opportunity to visit him to learn about aspects of Kinder's private life and enjoy the art of building Old New Zealand.
