Konak Mosque
One of the most elegant mosques in Izmir is the Konak Mosque or Yali Mosque, which attracts attention with its octagonal tiles and plan in Konak Square. It was built in 1755 by Aisha Hanim, daughter of Muhammad Pasha. It was restored during the First World War, and then again in 1964 AD, leaving only the tiles on the sides of the door and window. It is a nice building with one dome and one minaret in the style of classical Ottoman architecture. Cut stone was used in the architecture of the octagonal plan mosque.
