The Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque is an ancient mosque located in the heart of Mostar. It was built by a wealthy Muslim merchant who owned a fleet of ships to trade with India, China, Yemen and Persia. He built it in the seventeenth century during the period when Muslim merchants were the richest merchants of the Indian Ocean. The mosque is characterized by its unique architecture that combines the Indian and Andalusian styles, and it is very spacious and extends over several floors.
