Lamego Cathedral
Lamego Cathedral is a mixture of Gothic architecture and Renaissance style, dating back to the 12th century, making it the oldest cathedral in all of Portugal, although the only surviving feature from that time is the Romanesque base of the bell tower. The cathedral was dedicated to the Virgin Mary. A large part of its façade was built in the fifteenth century, and its interior ceilings are decorated with beautiful biblical frescoes.
