The city's Catholic cathedral is the largest church in Lodz. It is a true masterpiece built between 1901 and 1912 by the famous Łódź architects Zaccarsi & wendy The interior is modeled after a typical medieval cathedral with three aisles, a small bridge, a choir, and an ambulatory. In the place there is a monument to the Unknown Soldier, and on the other side there is a memorial to Father Skrupka, a Roman Catholic priest who is believed to have contributed greatly to the country's victory over the Bolsheviks in 1920.
