St Nicholas Church

Thanks to the high esteem of St. Nicholas in the Orthodox tradition, St. Nicholas' Church is the city's first and only Catholic church to have survived World War II without significant damage. Founded by the Dominican Order, the church is a magnificent church with a dark marble interior, exposed old walls, and a somber atmosphere; This church is notable for its multi-tiered high altar and baroque paneled choir stalls. It should be noted that it is temporarily closed for renovation.
