Marbella Grand Mosque
The Great Mosque of Marbella, or what is known as the King Abdulaziz Mosque, was built in 1981 by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz. It is considered the first Spanish mosque to be built since the Christian conquest of Spain in the fifteenth century, and it embodies a wonderful example of contemporary Andalusian architecture inspired by the Moroccan heritage. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and contains an extensive library.
