Mardin PROTESTANT CHURCH
One of Turkey's oldest Protestant churches, Mardin Church, has reopened after an absence of worshipers for 60 years, in a sign of the country's Christian community revival. The church has a great historical and religious importance, as it is the oldest church in Turkey and in the Middle East in general, and it is characterized by a traditional building with huge stones and organized arches that decorate the entrance and the inner courtyards. The church also includes an outer courtyard in which prayers and religious ceremonies are held.
