Maria Valeria Bridge
The Marie Valerie Bridge connects between the city of Esztergom in Hungary and the town of Chtorovó in Slovakia across the Danube River. It is about 500 meters long and named after Archduchess Marie Valerie of Austria. The bridge was designed by engineer János Feketeházy ) in 1893; Since its opening it has been destroyed twice, but the bridge was renovated in 1922 and completely rebuilt in 1926. Today it is a beautiful steel bridge, offering amazing views of the church and across the Danube.
