Marko Miljanov Museum
This museum was designed in the home of Marko Miljanov Popović, a prominent warrior, hero, tribal leader, and Montenegrin author, where he lived until 1901. After his departure, the house was modified to become a museum documenting his life. The exterior design was preserved as it is. It is, and the interior design has been changed to suit the exhibits. The museum is divided into three wonderful sections: historical, ethnographic and literary. Where the historical section depicts the most important events from the heroic life of Marco, through displaying his personal costumes, weapons, documents and photographs. The ethnographic part of the museum contains some household items, costumes, ornaments, and materials used in daily life, and sheds light on the features of the lives of ordinary people. And the literary section of the museum sheds light on the literary activity of Marko Miljanov by displaying a collection of his manuscripts, his earliest publications, his works and his rich correspondence with his contemporaries.
