Melissani Cave
Melissani Cave is a unique tourist point for nature lovers and one of the most beautiful natural wonders not only on the island of Kefalonia but in all of Greece, as it was formed through a unique geological phenomenon of groundwater that was permeating the limestone rocks and creating cavities inside it, with a length of 3.5 km, a width of 40 m and a height 36 The turquoise blue water gathers at the bottom of the cave in the form of a lake and is navigated through small rowing boats, and in order to reach it, visitors must walk through an underground tunnel. The beauty of the cave is evident in the ability to see the sky directly and enjoy the view of the sparkling water when the sun's rays reflect on it, as the ceiling of the cave collapsed, revealing a charming beauty that captures the eye.
