Description of the place
Since the 12th century, the Town Square has been and remains one of the medieval centers of Ljubljana. Much of it was destroyed in the 1511 earthquake and later replaced by Renaissance and Baroque buildings, which still stand today. The most famous of them is the Town Hall with the famous Rupa Fountain.
