Monastery of Archangel Michael Panormitis

On the 8th of November, tourists and locals come in large numbers to the island of Symi to enjoy the largest and most important religious festival that takes place at the Monastery of the Archangel Michael Panormitis, where a big feast is held there and the faithful pray for good health and protection. The monastery is open all year round and receives visitors wishing to enter its corridors and see its icons and religious paintings painted by local artists.
